Still no disabled showering facilities…

Still no disabled showering facilities in men’s changing room. Male adults don’t wish to shower and change amongst the noise and chaos in the family changing rooms. Do something about it David Lloyd clubs. My family membership is in last chance saloon.

Very good class

Very good class. Professional and well paced. The marquee is rather noisy and very draughty but better than not having a class.Teacher is friendly but professional.

All that money for a public swimming pool

This is literally laughable everyone that goes here is being robed of their money, this is meant to be luxury and relaxing and the pool is packed, can’t ever get in the jucuzzi too busy, machines always taken, spend most the time at this gym waiting than working out or relaxing, not to mention I had a pt approach me and tell me I don’t know how to workout and she couldn’t watch it any longer when I have been working out for years! I do hit training as it’s good for insulin levels which I have had personal trainers tell me to do for better effects, but I’m not allowed to do hit training here Apparently, if you want to be stalked by the personal trainers go here, not good David Lloyds at all not impressed will be retuning to a more upmarket relaxing spa gym which is what your meant to be.

It has been a joy to swim in the outdoor pool though a nice hot jacuzzi would be most welcome . An outdoor hot tub would be great too .

Heavenly swim outdoors

First day back after lockdown using the outdoor pool. Thought I’d gone to heaven! Sun shone and pool beautiful temperature. Loungers socially distanced and everyone so grateful to be outside and able to swim again.

Outdoor facilities

while still under indoor covid restrictions it has been a fantastic experience to get back to the club for outdoor classes, for me Spin classes have lifted me out of lockdown, the staff and trainers at Rouken Glen have excellent attitude

Leaving on a sad note is not what I wanted ?

Really sad to leave the club (Brooklands) Ive on the whole loved since moving to Cobham 15yrs ago, lovely staff and friends I have met I will always cherish. The club handling of membership on the other hand is another matter. Ive always spoken highly of good service at the club and not so much on the areas for improvement. I approached the club to share that Id been furlough and as such had to reassess my outgoings to which I was told that they would honour but that I had to prove it first, taken aback by this I did and shared my dismay. They offered that I take a three month grace period (the club was shut in any case due to covid) or leave instantly. I took the latter due to their lack of empathy. I asked if I could retain just a couple of my guest passes (having earned these prior to lockdown) and was told absolutely not and that as soon as you cancel, you are not entitled to them! This would not have been the case had we not be in a pandemic, I challenged this again on email and was told, sorry no you cant have any (I leave the club with 7 passes on my account) they said my membership will end on 1st April. Ordinarily notice period allows time in which to use them, given this has not been possible they are refusing to make any allowances. Its a shame as I would be not only be using the gym facilities but likely spend money in the cafe etc and introducing potential new members to the club. What a shame DL have no heartbeat at this time and seem to run their business as an engine instead - very sad, goodbye and good luck x
